Flashlight signals were exchanged with the Relief Column again, but we were only vaguely told that Lord Methuen had had further successes against the enemy. Our men were allowed a good rest to-day. Some natives bringing in cattle for us were shot at by the Boers a few miles out, and the cattle driven back again.
