  • Leave Bloemfontein on the N8 west and follow the N8 to Kimberley (1hr 30min - 160km).
  • At the outskirts of Kimberley, the N8 is called Oliver Road. Pass over a railway flyover.
  • Travel 2km along Oliver Road and turn right into Carrington Way.
  • Travel 1.4km along Carrington Way until you reach a major 4-way junction (Halfway House Hotel will be in front/left of you). Turn right at the intersection onto Main Road.
  • Travel 290m along Main Road and turn right into Solomon Street.
  • The Solomon Edwardian Guest House is 200m on your right.

  • Leave Cape Town on the N1 north to Three Sisters (7hrs – 590km).
  • Turn left (north) on the N12 to Kimberley (4hrs – 420km).
  • At the outskirts of Kimberley, you will pass the Toyota Garage on your right. At the 4-way junction, turn right onto McDougall Street.
  • Travel 1km along McDougall Street until you reach a T-junction with Oliver Road (N8). Turn left onto Oliver Road.
  • Travel 1km along Oliver Road and turn right into Carrington Way.
  • Travel 1.4km along Carrington Way until you reach a major 4-way junction (Halfway House Hotel will be in front/left of you). Turn right at the intersection onto Main Road.
  • Travel 290m along Main Road and turn right into Solomon Street.
  • The Solomon Edwardian Guest House is 20m on your right.

  • Leave Johannesburg on the N12 south-west to Kimberley (5hrs 50mins – 472km).
  • At the outskirts of Kimberley, the N12 is known as the Transvaal Road. You will pass the Shell Ultra City on your left.
  • Travel 4.7km along the Transvaal Road until you reach a major 4-way junction. Turn left onto Quinn Street.
  • Travel 1.4km along Quinn Street until you reach a major 4-way junction. Cross over the junction into Du Toitspan Road.
  • Travel 1.2km along Du Toitspan Road until you reach a major 4-way junction (Halfway House Hotel on your left). Cross over the junction into Main Road.
  • Travel 290m along Main Road and turn right into Solomon Street.
  • The Solomon Edwardian Guest House is 20m on your right.

Directions from Upington (4 hours, 410km)
  • Leave Upington on the N10 east to Groblershoop (1hr 15mins – 115km).
  • At Groblershoop, turn left/east on the N8 to Kimberley (2hr 45mins – 290km).
  • At the outskirts of Kimberley, you will come to a large roundabout (traffic circle) which crosses the R31. Turn right/south onto the R31
  • Travel 2km along the R31 until you come to another large roundabout, which crosses the R357. Cross over this Roundabout and continue along the R31.
  • Travel 3 km along the R31 until you reach a third large roundabout that crosses the N12. Turn left onto the N12 towards Kimberley.
  • Travel 2.6 kilometres along the N12, and you will pass the Toyota Garage on your right. At the 4-way junction, turn right onto McDougall Street.
  • Travel 1km along McDougall Street until you reach a T-junction with Oliver Road (N8). Turn left onto Oliver Road.
  • Travel 1km along Oliver Road and turn right into Carrington Way.
  • Travel 1.4km along Carrington Way until you reach a major 4-way junction (Halfway House Hotel will be in front/left of you). Turn right at the intersection onto Main Road.
  • Travel 290m along Main Road and turn right into Solomon Street.
  • The Solomon Edwardian Guest House is 20m on your right.

Directions from Kuruman (2 hours 40 mins, 240km)
  • Leave Kuruman on the R31 south to Danielskuil (92km).
  • At Danielskuil, turn left/east on the R31 towards Kimberley (140km).
  • At the outskirts of Kimberley, you will come to a large roundabout (traffic circle) which crosses the N8. Cross the roundabout and continue south on the R31.
  • Travel 2km along the R31 until you come to another large roundabout, which crosses the R357. Cross over this Roundabout and continue along the R31.
  • Travel 3 km along the R31 until you reach a third large roundabout that crosses the N12. Turn left onto the N12 towards Kimberley.
  • Travel 2.6 kilometres along the N12, and you will pass the Toyota Garage on your right. At the 4-way junction, turn right onto McDougall Street.
  • Travel 1km along McDougall Street until you reach a T-junction with Oliver Road (N8). Turn left onto Oliver Road.
